Hardness (Total) Test Strips

The Quality Check Total Hardness Test strips are a simple accurate and sensitive way to measure high levels of Total Hardness of your water sample. Total hardness does not normally affect the taste of drinking water but it can have dramatic effects on hot water systems and kettles. These strips are not designed to monitor the performance of softeners, demineralises or reverse osmosis units we have other kits available for that application.

Potential health effects: Water that is too soft can be corrosive, also can cause scale build up in pipes and create problems with the use of soaps and detergents.
