With Boris’ Mercury Check™ you can easily test to ensure that your water is well below this level. This test detects ultra lows of Mercury from the ranges of 0.002-0.08 mg/L (2-80 ppb). Boris’ Mercury Check™ is great for process testing and ideal for detecting unsafe levels of mercury in drinking water. This test utilizes an easy and quick test procedure. Just dip one test strip into a 200 mL or greater water sample. Move the strip in a back and forth motion for 60 seconds. Remove the strip from the water sample and shake once to remove the excess water. Wait 30 seconds and then match to the closest color. Potential Health effects: The main toxic effects of inorganic mercury are to the kidney, leading to kidney failure. Organic mercury is unlikely to be found in uncontaminated water however the effects are more severe including neurological disorder and mental disability
